Imamov has been holding the Vice Presidency of the 42th National Assembly  since 21 May 2013. He is a member of Parliamentary Group of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. He was the Deputy Chairperson of Parliamentary Group in the period of 21 May 2013 -11 December 2013. He has also been holding the Chairman position of Committee on Economic Policy and Tourism since 19 June 2013.
