Athanasios Moraitis was born in 1970. He is a Greek politician and advertiser. In 2004 he was elected Member of Parliament of Aitoloakarnania with PA.SO.K. and was re-elected in 2007 and 2009 respectively.

Political Career[edit]

He has been involved in politics since his early schooldays. Ever since, he has participated in all of the PASOK Youth organisations, both on the Perfecture level and the central level. In 1994, he was elected Prefectorial Councillor of Aitoloakarnania and was the youngest in the country. In 2000, he was elected Secretary of PA.SO.K Youth. During his tenure, PASOK Youth developed pioneering action regarding the protection of the environment, volunteerism, human rights and the struggle against racism and social exclusion. In June of 1999, he was a candidate member of the European Parliament with PA.SO.K. In 2002, he was assigned Vice President of DEPA Board of Directors. Since 1999, he has been a member of the Central Committee of PA.SO.K. He takes an active role in responsible positions, in many of the Party’s Committees.

Education Career[edit]

He studied Finance and Management.

Professional Career[edit]

He worked in sales, at first, and then as a business consultant. Very soon he was attracted to Advertising and he became an executive officer of a powerful Advertising Firm. During those creative years, he gained many distinctions and awards in the field of advertising. Until 2004 (when he was elected Member of Parliament), he was running his own advertising firm.
