Rosario Isabel Santos Fernández, born 8 July 1968 in Soria, is a Spanish senator representing the Spanish province of Zaragoza for the Aragonese Party, Partido Aragonés (PAR), in the 10th Congress of Deputies.

Political Career

Rosario Isabel Santos Fernández’s political career has been extensive, however her job as Executive Secretary of Communications and Institutional Relations and Executive Committee member of the Aragonese Party and her candidatura for mayor of Zaragoza shoud be highlighted. Furthermore, she was the Director General of Labour within the Government of Aragón from August 2011 to December 2011. In addition, during that period she was also President of the Foundation of Aragonese Service of Mediation and Arbitration and President of the Standing Committee of the Aragonese Council on Occupational Safety and Health (CASSL) and Vice-President of the Aragonese Labor Relations Board (CARL) and Chair of its Standing Committee, Member Territorial Committee on Labour Inspection and Social Security of Aragon, Member of the Committee on Development and Track Collaboration Agreement between the Government of Aragon and the prosecution for the Coordinating Committee on Occupational Accidents and Member of the Board of the National Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Risks. Nowadays, Rosario Isabel Santos Fernández is the First Secretary of the Committee on Employment and Social Security in the Spanish Senate. Additionally, she is a member of the Development Commission and the General Committee of the Autonomous Communities.

Education

Santos Fernández has a degree in Law, a master in Labour Advisory and a Research Master in Labour Law.
