Roger Henri Ludovic Maria van Boxtel, member of the Dutch Senate

Roger Henri Ludovic Maria van Boxtel was born on the 8th of February 1954 in Tilburg, the Netherlands. He is a member of the Dutch Senate for the Democrats 66 Party (D66).

Political Career

From 1994 until 1998 he was a member of the Dutch Parliament. From 1998 until 2002 he was Minister for Urban Policy and Integration of Ethnic Minorities. Since 2003 he is the Chairman of the Board of Director of Menzis (a health insurance).

Education

He studied Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam from 1975 till 1981. He also studied medicine from 1973 till 1975, although he did not finish it.
