Sadet Karabulut (SP) Member of the Dutch House of Representatives

Sadet Karabulut (born on April 28th, 1975 in Dordrecht) is a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the Socialist Party (SP).

Political Career

Sadet Karabulut is a Dutch politician and former civil servant and trade unionist of Kurdish descent. From March till November 2006 Karabulut was a member of the municipal council of Amsterdam. As a member of the SP she has been a member of the Dutch House of Representatives since November 30th, 2006. From January 11th till April 14th, 2011 she was on maternity leave and therefore replaced by Rik Janssen. She focuses on matters of social affairs (poverty reduction, social assistance, purchasing power and child benefit), emancipation and social integration.

Education

Karabulut studied public administration at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
