Aikaterini Markou

Aikaterini Markou was born in Lagada. She is a Greek politician. She was elected as an M.P. for B’ Thessaloniki in the 2012 general elections for the first time, as a member of the Democratic Left Parliamentary Group. Independent since July 2014.

Political Career[edit]

After 15 years of active and intense work, she decided to enter politics as a candidate MP. Aikaterini Markou served as a member of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs as well as the Special Committees on Greeks Abroad and Research and Technology.Moreover she is member of the committee on the Monitoring of the Social Security System.

Education Career[edit]

Graduated from the Hellenic Open University with a degree in European History and Culture. She received her master’s degree in History and Political Science from Panteion University. During her studies, she has been working in the private sector since, in the field of Commerce, Advertising and Pharmaceuticals. Today she works in the field of Advertising and Promotion of Medical products. She also speaks English and Italian.
