Alicja Olechowska

Alicja Olechowska was born on 10th February 1956 in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. She has been a Polish politician and Member of Parliament since 2005 (IV, V, VI, VII cadency). She is a member of the parliamentary party Platforma Obywatelska.

Political Career

Olechowska started her political career in 2001. In the elections of 2001, starting from 10th place on the list of electoral PO in the district near Warsaw, she was elected to the Parliament. In the Fourth Term, Sejm sat on the Committee on the Economy. In 2005, she was re-elected a deputy's term of office for the Sejm V, where she worked in the Committee for Enterprise Development and the Economy Committee again. Her role also encompassed the chair of the Polish-Finnish Biletaral Group and the Parliamentary Group for Women. In the parliamentary elections in 2007, she was elected for a third time. In the 2011 elections, she successfully applied for re-election. She unsuccessfully stood as a candidate in elections to the European Parliament in 2014.

Education

She graduated from Post-Secondary Construction School and in 2005 she obtained a Bachelor degree at the Faculty of Administration at the Gdansk University School of Administration.
