Ante Babić was born on May 26, 1966 in Trier, Federal Republic of Germany. He is a member of the Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski Sabor) and a member of the Croatian Democratic Party (HDZ; Croatian: Hrvatska Demokratska Zajednica).

Political Career

He has entered the 7th Assembly of the Croatian Parliament in December 2011. He is a member of the Human Rights and Minorities Rights Commitee, the Croats outside the Republic of Croatia Commitee, the Trans-Parliamentary Cooperation Commitee, the Inter-Parliamentary Union's National Groups in Croatian Parliament Executive Board, and a member of the Croatian delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean.

Education

He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Split obtaining a Bachelor degree in Economics. At the same Faculty he later obtained his Master's degree in European Economic Integration (univ. spec. econ.).
