Barbara Bubula

Barbara Bubula - (born on 4th March 1963 in Kraków) is a Polish politician, journalist, official of local government and Member of Parliament (V, VII term).

Political Career

She is a member of Porozumienie Centrum (Agreement Center) and Ruch dla Rzeczypospolitej (Movement for the Republic of Poland). In the years 1993-1996 she was the chief secretary of the political council of Zjednoczenie Polski (Union of Polish). In 2001, she joined Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice). In 1990-2005, she was a councilor of Kraków. In the parliamentary elections in 2005 she was elected as a Member of Parliament. She worked in the Public Finance Committee and the Committee on Local Government and Regional Policy. On September 26, 2007, President Lech Kaczyński appointed her as a member of the National Council of Radio and Television, and therefore hers parliamentary mandate expired. She was reelected as a Member of Parliament in 2011.

Education

She graduated in 1986 on Polish philology at the Jagiellonian University. In 1991-1995 she taught Polish language in St. Family's High School. Bubula also translated the book of the American conservative author Richard M. Weaver's "Ideas have consequences".
