Bruno Alicata

Bruno Alicata was born in Siracusa the 19 December 1956. He is an Italian Senator member of the Party Forza Italia for the region Sicily.

Political career[edit]

Member of the Party Il Popolo della Libertà since March 2013 (since 20 November 2013, the Group was renamed Forza Italia) In 2008 he was elected Senator for Il Popolo della Libertà. He is part of the 13th Standing Committee (Land, environment, environmental goods). In 2009 he proposed, along with Salvo Fleres (PDL) and Giovanni Legnini (PD), a controversial amendment to the decree called Milleproroghe. The amendment allows call centers to make promotional calls even to those users who have denied consent to receive promotional calls. The amendment has provoked protests from the guarantor for privacy and consumer associations.
