Carbon Footprint[edit]

The concept of the Carbon Footprint was developed as part of the ecological footprint discussion commenced by Rees and Wackernagel in the 1990s and is the measure of the total sets of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by an organization, event, product or person. Greenhouse gas is usually produced through transport, land clearance and pollution.
