Carlo Giovanardi (New Center Right), member of the Italian Senate

Carlo Giovanardi, born 15 born 1950 in Modena, Italy, is a member of the Nuovo Centrodestra (“Gruppo - Il Popolo delle Libertà”).

Political Career

He was a member of “Il Popolo delle Libertà” from 19 March 2013 until 14 November 2013. Since 2013 he has been a member of the New Center Right political party. He has been part of the Committee on Elections and Immunity 'MPs since May 7, 2013 He is member in a 2nd Standing Committee (Justice) since November 23, 2013. Previously he was member in the 6th Standing Committee (Finance and Treasury) from May 7, 2013 to 23 November 2013. He took part, as member, to the Parliamentary Committee for prosecuting since July 24, 2013. Moreover he was member of the Parliamentary committee of inquiry into the phenomenon of the Mafia and other criminal organizations, including foreign ones since 11 October 2013. During Berlusconi IV - government, Giovanardi was a Secretary for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Family, Drugs and Civil Service) from 12 May 2008 to 15 November 2011. Giovanardi was member of the Group - “Il Popolo delle Libertà” from 6th May 2008 to 14 March 2013. He had a second Standing Committee Justice, from which he was member since 20th September 2010 to 14th MArch 2013. In addition he was member since 22nd May 2008 to 20th September 2010.

Education

He holds a degree in Law.
