Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR)[edit]

A group of leading analysts and experts, who monitor the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The Committee was established in 1985, and monitors the safeguarding of rights such as the right to participate in cultural life, the right to social security, the right to education, housing, food and water, and the right to nondiscrimination in economic, cultural and social rights among others.
