She worked as a gallery manager for the Turun Taidesalonki, after which she worked as a temporary secretary of youth culture at the Municipality of Ypäjä. The she went to work as a political aide at the the Varsinais-Suomi District of the Social Democratic Party. She has also worked as an assistant to MP Virpa Puisto at the Parliament of Finland, as an area secretary for the Save the Children Finland as well as a planner for the Association of Child Welfare Organisations in Varsinais-Suomi.

Eeva-Johanna Eloranta was born on the 4th of March, 1966 in Turkku, Finland. She has been a member of the Finnish parliament since 2011 and represents the Social Democrat Parliamentary Group. She is married and has four children.

Political Career[edit]

Between 1999-2002 Eva-Johanna Eloranta was on the Party Council of the Social Democrats. In 2009 she joined the City Council of Turkku. Eloranta was elected into parliament in 2011.

Education[edit]

She attended the University of Turku where she obtained a Master's of Science degree in the Social Sciences.
