Elbert Dijkgraaf was born on January 6th, 1970 in Almelo. He is a member of the Dutch House of Representatives on behalf of the Reformed Political Party (SGP).

Political career

Before his political career, he held a number of different positions in the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Between 1991 and 1995 he was a research assistant at the OCFEB and was an academic researcher for the Research Centre for Economic Policy.

Education

Between 1988 and 1995, Dijkgraaf studied general economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and in 2004 he received his doctorate in economic sciences at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
