Francisco Fuentes Gallardo
Francisco Fuentes Gallardo was born in 14 September 1949 in Jerez de los Caballeros in the Spanish province of Badajoz. He is a member of the Spanish Socialist Party, Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE) and he is a Spanish senator for the 10th Congress of Deputies.
Political Career[edit]
Member of the PSOE, he collaborated on the projection of the party in the region of Extremadura. He was elected deputy for Badajoz from 1986 to 2000, period during which he was the man of Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra (who was President of Extremadura from 1983 to 2007) in the House of Representatives. Subsequently, in 2003, he joined regional politics and was elected deputy for Badajoz in the Assembly of Extremadura, where he occupies the post of chairman of the Socialist Group since then. In 2007 he revalidated his position, post that he combines with the one of senator. Furthermore, he served as Provincial Secretary of Badajoz between 1988 and 2012. In the Spanish Senate, Francisco Fuentes Gallardo is the spokesman of the Commission of Conflicts and he is a member of the Commission of Foreign Affairs and the General Committiee of the Autonomous Communities.

Fuentes Gallardo has a degree in Philosophy from the University of Seville, and he is a Language and Literature teacher.
