Kyriacos Hadjiyiannis was born in Famagusta in 1963.He is a Greek/Cypriot politician and development consultant.

Political Career

Kyriacos Hadjiyiannis is a representative of Famagusta constituency under the banner of DISY since 2006. He served as Secretary of the DISY Youth Organisation (NEDISY) Enlightenment Committee and Famagusta District Secretary of the Organisation of Young Scientists (ONE),Member-observer at the Economic and Social Council of the European Union for the period 2003-2004, and General Secretary of the Farmers Association until 2008. Moreover he served as Vice-chairman of the European Syndicate of Farming Organisations (COPA) and member of several advisory committees of the General Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Union, and Member of the DISY Political Bureau.

Education

Kyriacos Hadjiyiannis graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Political Science (Universität Stuttgart) and he got a doctorate (PhD) in Political Science (Universität Tübingen).He speaks English,German and French.
