The Institut du Monde Arabe is an institute established by the Arab nations and France. The institute aims to promote a better understanding of the Arab world with respect to its language and its cultural [[values]]. The institute seeks to promote cultural exchanges, communication and cooperation between France and the Arab nations, especially in the fields of sciences and technology. The goal is thereby to contribute to the tightening of relations between the Arab world and Europe. The building in which the institute is located houses a museum of Islamic art, a library and an auditorium.
