Ivan Račan was born on 2 February 1973 in Zagreb, Croatia. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP; Croatian: Socijaldemokratska partija Hrvatske) and has been a member of the Croatian Parliament during its 7th Assembly.

Political Career

His term of office began on 23 December 2011 as a substitute for Zoran Milanović. He is a member of the Foreign Policy Committee, a member of the Interparliamentary Co-operation Committee, a member of the Committee on Information, Computerisation and the Media, and a deputy member of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Education

He obtained his qualification of Mathematician and Informatician from the Science Program Secondary School Nikola Tesla.
