Jan Hajda

Jan Hajda was born on October 22, 1949, in Krepice. He is a Czech politician, senator for district Breclav and a member of the Social Democrats.

Education[edit]

He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Agricultural University in Brno.

Political career[edit]

In 1989 he joined the Social Democrats. Since 1996 he is member of the Management of the District Chamber of Agriculture in city of Breclav. In 2006, he won the second round of Senate elections in Breclav Region. In the Senate he focuses on the work of the Committee for the economy, agriculture and transport, of which he is also the chairman. He is a member of the National Wine Centre.
