María Fátima Báñez García

María Fátima Báñez García is a Spanish politician from the PP (Popular Party), member of the Parliament and minister of Employment and Social Security for the current government.

Political Career

She was born on January the 6th 1967 in San Juan del Puerto, Spain. She graduated in Economy, Business and Law, she has been a parlamentarian since the year 2000, while holding different positions for both the PP of Andalucia and the PP at a national level. In the year 2011 the PP won the Spanish elections and she became minister of Employment and SOcial Security for the new government, position that she keeps holding nowadays.
