Marieluise Beck is a member of Alliance 90/The Greens and was born on June 25, 1952, in Bramsche, Germany. She is a teacher.

Political Career

Beck has been a member of Alliance 90/The Greens since 1980, and a member of the Bundestag from 1983 to 1985, 1987 to 1990, and from 1994 onward. From 1998 to 2002, she worked at the Federal Commission for Foreign Residents.(Ausländerbeauftragte der Bundesregierung). From 2002 to 2005, she was a parliamentary state secretary for the Federal Minister for Family, the Elderly, Women, and Youth, and simultaneously, the Federal Commissary for Migration, Refugees, and Integration.

Education

Beck studied German, History, and Social Studies in Bielefeld and Heidelberg.

Notable Work

She is a member of the German-Israeli Society, the Society for Threatened Peoples and the BUND.
