Marios Mavrides was born in Kyrenia in 1963.He is a Greek/cypriot politician and professor of Economics at the European University Cyprus.

Political Career

Marios Mavrides is a representative of Kyrenia constituency under the banner of DISY since May 2011. He is Member of the House Standing Committee on Financial and Budgetary Affairs, of the House Standing Committee on Labour and Social Insurance and of the House Standing Committee on Refugees-Enclaved-Missing-Adversely Affected Persons.

Education

Marios Mavrides graduated in Accounting and Economics (University of Illinois, Chicago) and he got a PhD in Economics (University of Illinois). He got a certificate in Public Accountant (1986) and in Financial Advisor (2006) in the United States of America.He speaks English.

Notable Work

He is author of the book “Triangular Arbitrage in the Foreign Exchange Market, Technology, Inefficiencies & Opportunities” (1990).
