Ockje Tellegen

Ockje Caroline Tellegen (born on the 16th of October 1974 in Delft, the Netherlands) is a Dutch politician. As a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie) she has served as a Member of Parliament since 20 September 2012.

Political Career

Ockje was political assistant to fellow party member Atzo Nicolaï from 2002 to 2006. She has worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the Dutch embassy in Berlin

Education

Tellegen attended pre-university education at the Vrijzinnig Christelijk Lyceum in The Hague between 1987 and 1993. She studied International Law and National and European History at the University of Leiden. After this, she studied International Relations at John Hopkins University, and at the School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna. She did a course on Public Diplomacy and Governance Sensitivity at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as an Introduction to Islam.
