Pat Deering was born on February 2nd, 1967 in Rathvilly, County Carlow.

Political Career

He is an Irish Fine Gael politician. He was elected as a Teachta Dala for the Carlow-Kilkenny constituency at the 2011 general election. From 2009 and 2011 he was a member of Carlow County Council for the Tullow electoral area and at the same period he was the Chairman Transport & Infrastructure Strategic Policy Committee. Before running for election to Dali Eireann he served for some years as Chairman of the Carlow GAA County Board.

Education

Between 1971 and 1979 he was educated at the National School education, later at Ballyfin he was educated for the secondary school at the Patrician Brothers. Then between 1982 and 1984 he attended the Tullow Community School and after finished his education at the Kildalton Agricultural College between 1984 and ’85.
