Peter Friedrich

Peter Friedrich was born on the 6th of May 1972 in Karlsruhe. He has been a member of the German Federal Council for the Social Democratic Party of Germany since 2011. He is also is the Minister for Federal, European and International Affairs of the State of Baden-Württemberg and the representative of the State of Baden-Württemberg in the Federal State.

Political career[edit]

In 1992 he was a Deputy Young Socialist State Chairman and in 1997 he was the Young Socialist State Chairman. He was a member of the State Executive Committee in 1999. From 2003 he was a member of the state presidency and from 2004 he was the Chairman of the District Association of Konstanz. Since 2009, he has served as the Secretary General of the SPD in Baden-Württemberg and a member of the SPD party executive. Between 2005 and 2011 he was a member of the German Bundestag.

Education[edit]

Friedrich graduated from German secondary school in 1991 with the Abitur (A-Level). Subsequently, he studied administrative science at the University of Konstanz.
