Ralf Brauksiepe

Dr. Ralf Brauksiepe was born on March 14th, 1967 in Hattingen, Germany. He is an economist , and currently works as a parliamentary state secretary for the Federal Minister of Defense, as well as an economic assistant.

Political Career

Brauksiepe has been a member of the CDU since 1983. From 1996 to 2000, he has been the chairman of the North-Rhine Westphalia chapter of the Junge Union (JU), the youth organization of the CDU. From 1995 onward, he worked as the county chair of the CDU in Ennepe-Ruhr. He has been the vice-chair of CDA (Christian-Democratic Worker Association) since 2003. Between 2007 to 2009, he was the president of the Atlantic Association of Young Political Leaders (AAYPL).

He has been a member of the Bundestag since 1998.

Education

He studied economic science from 1986 to 1990 at the Ruhr University Bochum and earned his doctorate in 1995.
