Remus Pricopie is a Romanian education administrator.

Biography[edit]

He has been the Education Minister in the Victor Ponta cabinet since December 2012. He began working at a state school in 1998, when he started teaching there and worked his way up to become a professor. He was the dean from 2005 to 2007 and from 2008 until 2012, when he became rector. His government career, spent at the Education Ministry, began in 1996. Subsequently, his positions were as state secretary for higher education and adviser to the minister as well as acting minister in May 2008.
