Georgios Tasou was born in Larnaca in 1953. He is a Greek/Cypriot politician and foreman-draughtsman.

Political Career

Georgios Tasou is a representative of Larnaka constituency under the banner of DISY since 2001.

He served as President of the Pancyprian Farmers Union (PEK) for the period 1976-1989,President of the DISY Xylofagou Local Committee for the period 1978-1988,Member of the board of the Larnaka District and Advisory Committee for the Administration of Turkish Cypriot Properties for the period 1989-1995 and of the board of the Cyprus Potato Marketing Board for the period 1992-1998. In addition , he was observer of the House to the European Parliament and member of the Political Group of the European People’s Party in 2003 and Member of the Larnaka Anti-Drugs Association.
