Vera Bergkamp is a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the Democrats 66 (D66). She was born in Amsterdam on June 1st, 1971.

Political Career[edit]

Vera Bergkamp was the chairman of COC Netherlands, which is an advocacy group for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgenders, from June 2010 until June 2012. She was a member of the council for the Amsterdam district from March 2010 to September 2012. Vera Bergkamp has been a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the D66 since September 20th 2012. She focuses on nursing care, welfare (youth, drugs and alcohol) and culture.

Education[edit]

Bergkamp studied HBO Personnel and Labour at the Hogeschool of Amsterdam. Vera Bergkamp has a degree in Public Administration/Political science (direction organization and management) from the Free University in Amsterdam.
