The World Bank is an international financial organization that lends money to developing countries to improve state infrastructure. The World Bank is comprised of two institutions, namely the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association. The main goal of the World Bank is to reduce poverty and improve the living standards of people living in low to middle income countries. Support is provided through project or policy-based loans and grants, and technical assistance.
