Joram van Klaveren (born on January 23th, 1979 in Amsterdam) is a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for Bontes/Van Klaveren.

== Political Career ==

Joram van Klaveren is a Dutch politician and former educator. As a member of the Party for Freedom (PVV) he has been a member of the Dutch House of Representatives from June 17th, 2010 until March 21st, 2014. He currently holds this position on his own account after leaving the Party for Freedom. He focuses on matters of desegregation, employment-to-population ratio, egalitarianism and emancipation. Since March 24th, 2011 he has also been a member of the States-Provincial of Flevoland. On March 21th, 2014 Van Klaveren announced that he will no longer be part of the Party for Freedom, as he did no longer agree with the party's course. The controversial comments on the Moroccan minority in The Netherlands by party leader Geert Wilders after the 2014 council elections also played part in his decision. Van Klaveren will continue as a member of the House on his own account. In May 2014 Joram van Klaveren, Louis Bontes and Johan Driessen founded a new conservative political party: VoorNederland (VNL). From March 2006 to June 2009 he was a member of the municipal council of Almere on behalf of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD).

Van Klaveren studied religious studies at the VU University Amsterdam.
