Ivan Mikloš was born on 2nd of June 1960. He has become a member of the Slovak National Council as a member of SDKÚ-DS. He is a member of the Committee on Finance and Budget.
== Political Career ==
Ivan Mikloš started his political career in 1991 when he became a minister of Privatization for one year. In 1992 he became a member of Public against Violence. Since 1993, he has been a chairman of Democratic Party for 7 years. After that in 2001, he became a member of SDKÚ-DS. Since 1998, Mikloš held more important offices: member of supervisory board of National Property Fund of the Slovak Republic (1997-1998), deputy prime minister for economic affairs of the Slovak Republic (1998-2002), deputy prime minister and Minister of Finance of Slovak Republic (2002-2006) and once again Minister of Finance of Slovak Republic in 20010-2012.  Ivan Mikloš significantly contributed to the entry of the Slovak Republic into the OECD and started an extensive and effective tax reform.
== Education ==
Ivan Mikloš studied long-term planning and prognostic at Vysoká škola ekonomická in Bratislava. He graduated in 1983. In 1993, Mikloš studied at London School of Economics. 
== Notable Work ==
Ivan Mikloš was a co-founder and leader of MESA10 (an independent think tank, non-governmental and non-profit organization) in the period of 1992-1998. In 2014 he was appointed as a think tank President.
