Bachelor’s degree from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with distinction. He speaks English, French and German.

== Notable Work ==

She was a researcher at the Center for Climate Change Law, Columbia University School of Law, New York, N.Y., international leader for the establishment of a Climate Change Center for the Mediterranean and the Middle East, Member of the Editorial Boards of the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law and the Columbia Journal of European Law, president of the Columbia University Hellenic Association (2004 - 2006). Ms. Avgerinopoulou is also one of the founding members of the European Union of Electoral Law, Special Advisor to the Hellenic Biosciences Association in the USA and a member of the American Society of International Law, the European Society of International Law, the European Women Lawyers Association, as well as being involved in many other non-governmental organizations.
