Having briefly left politics, he was national secretary of ACLI's youth section and ACLI provincial president of Venice. Through VN and IF, he joined Scelta Civica. He was appointed as a member of the Chamber of Deputies for the first time in 2013. As a Deputy, he is also a member of the 4th Commission on Defence and a member of the Italian Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
