From 1976-1980 Dragoljub Popovic was a Lawyer in two commercial enterprises. In 1995 he started as a lecture of  Legal and Constitutional History and Comparative Law. From 1998 to 2000 he was attorney at Law in a legal office in Belgrade. In 2001 he was a visiting Professor at the Institute of Federalism of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland.
