From 1994 until 2008 he was a director for the Institution of Culture of Hungarian Nationality in Lendava, Slovenia and since 2008 he has been a member of Slovenian National Assembly.

In 1988 he graduated from college in Szombathely (now called University of West Hungary) with a degree in history education. In 1996 he completed his Master's degree from University of Pécs to teach history.
