Marie-Louise O’Donnell is part of the Political Party “Independent”. Since May 2011 she assumed the office as senator. She was nominated by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny to the 24th Seanad Eireann.

Marie-Louise O’Donnell is a lecturer in communication at the Dublin City University. She has been lecturing in DCU for 23 years, and has also lectured extensively in Ireland, Europe and the USA in Education, Irish Drama, Irish Culture and Language. She is a regular reviewer and media contributor and presents a weekly show on RTE’s ‘Today with Pat Kenny’.

Her engagement and development in the artistic fields culminated with the launch of ‘The Helix’ in 2002.
