He is also the manager and artistic director of An Taibhdhearc as well as being a Producer and Director with 'Ros na Run' and 'Fair City'. Trevor is a major critic of the government due to its supposed failure to protect and maintain the Irish language. He has also been the project manager of national Irish language newspaper, Gaelsceal. O Clochartaigh also takes an active interest in agricultural issues. He is responsible for forming the 'Defending Rural Ireland' campaign along with Martin Ferris.
