Alain Moyne-Bressand (born July 30, 1945) is a UMP (Union for a Popular Movement) member of the French National Assembly for the sixth district of Isére in Southeastern France.
Moyne-Bressand was also Mayor Soleymieu and later, Crémieu. Elected as Mayor in 1971, he was the youngest Mayor elected in France at the time.
Political Career
Moyne-Bressand entered politics in 1971, when he was elected Mayor of Soleymieu, becoming the youngest Mayor in France.
In 1983, Moyne-Bressand moved to the larger city of Crémieu in Isére and was elected Mayor. He currently remains in that position as well as being a Municipal Councillor in Isére.
In 1986, Moyne-Bressand was elected to the French National Assembly as Deputy and became and official member of the Assembly in 1988, when the sixth district of Isére was created. He has been reelected to that position four times.
Education
Moyne-Bressand attended primary school in his hometown of Jallieu and became an entrepreneur as well as bookkeeper before entering politics.
