Barbara Saltamartini was born in Roma on August 27th 1972. She is an Italian politician.
Political career
In 1998 she was elected Councilor of the province of Rome for the Italian Party, Alleanza Nazionale and in 2003 she was re-elected with more than 32% of the votes. In February 2007 she became the group leader of the Allenaza Nazionale Department of Equal Opportunities. In 2008 she was elected member of the Chambres of deputies for the Italian Party Popolo della Libertà for the district of Sicilia. Moreover, she later became a member of the Job and Social Affairs Commission. Since 2011, she has been Vice President of the Party Popolo della Libertà at Chambres of deputies. On February 23rd and 24th 2013, she was elected in the Italian Chambres of deputies for the Party Popolo della Libertà for the district of Lazio (Rieti, Viterbo, Frosinone e Latina). On November 16th 2013, she joined the new Italian Party, Nuovo Centrodestra, led by Angelino Alfano.
