Gerrit Holdijk was born on the 17th of November 1944 in Uddel. He has been a member of the Dutch Senate for the Reformed Political Party (SGP) since 1991. He is also chairman of the SGP-fraction in the Senate.
Political career
Before his political career, he was a legal advisor. Between 1972 and and 2010 he was a policy advisor for the SGP for the Dutch House of Representatives. From 1987 to 1987 he was a member of the Senate for the SGP. Subsequently, he was a member of the States-Provincial of Gelderland, which is a province in the Netherlands. In addition to his career, Holdijk held different positions in commissions of the SGP and reformed institutions.
Education
Holdijk studied Dutch law at the University of Utrecht from 1965 to 1971.
