Political Career[edit]
Dietrich started her political career in 1990 when she became a member of the Municipal Council for the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ). From 1996 until her resignation in August 2005, Dietrich was a member of the Styrian parliament for a total of two terms. Most recently, she served until 2005 as chairwoman of the FPÖ. In 2006 she resigned from the party. In 2012 she became active in the party founded by Frank Stroach, Team Stronach.
