Juan Antonio Abad Pérez (Arnedo La Rioja, September 2, 1958), is a Spanish politician, economist and member of the People's Party. He is currently Mayor of his home town Arnedo, La Rioja. He entered the world of politics as a member of the People's Party. Years later he began managing the municipal People's Party which was launched in 2003. He was elected Mayor of the town Arnedo and was re-elected with an absolute majority in the next election. In the same year of his first election he was a candidate for Congress for the elections to the Parliament of La Rioja in 2003. He managed to get a seat for the V, VI Legislature.
