Werner Janssen, born in 1969 in Heusden, is a Belgian politician for the N-VA (New Flemish Alliance). He is a former laborer.
Political Career[edit]
Janssens participated with the local department of N-VA in the municipal elections in 2006, but without success. He however did not throw in the towel and participated again in the elections of 2009 and 2010 as a candidate on the national list. In the municipal elections of 2012, Janssens became fraction leader at the City Council. The biggest surprise came in the 2014 elections when N-VA obtained an absolute majority and Janssens was elected as Member of Parliament.
Education[edit]
Werner Janssen studied electrical engineering at the VTI in Beringen. However, he switched to education and took a course so he was able to teach.
