Alain Anziani was born in 1951 in Paris. He is a member of the Senate of France representing the Socialist Group. He was elected in 1951 for the constituency of Gironde.
Political Career[edit]
From 1993 to 2008, he was First Secretary of the Socialist Party in Gironde, and from 1998 to 2008, Vice-President of the Regional Council of Aquitaine responsible for finance and economy. He has been a Parliamentary Administrator for Senate, member of the Commission on Constitutional Laws, legislation, universal suffrage and general administration, and Deputy Mayor of Mérignac.
