Jacques Berthou (born March 3, 1940) is a French Senator representing the Department of Ain and a member of the French Socialist Party.
Political Career[edit]
Berthou entered politics in 1985 when he joined the Municipal Council of Miribel. In 1995, he was elected Mayor of Miribel, a position he still holds.
In 2008, he was elected to the French Senate for the Department of Ain. In the Senate, Berthou has served on the Foreign Affairs Committee.
Education[edit]
Berthou trained as an engineer.
