David Watts (born 26 August 1951) is a British Labour Party politician, who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for St Helens North since 1997, and the Chair of the Parliamentary Labour Party since 2012.
Political Career[edit]
Dave Watts has been the MP for St Helens North from 1997. He has held a number of positions including Finance and Services Committee from 1997-01 and 2005, Foreign Affairs Committee, Opposition Whip in 2010 and Lord Commissioner (HM Treasury) 2005-19.
Education[edit]
He went to Malvern Primary School and Huyton Hey Secondary Modern School on Seel Road in Huyton. He had previously been leader of St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council for four years.
