Thomas Francis Blenkinsop (born 14 August 1980) is a British Labour Party politician and Member of Parliament for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland.
Political Career[edit]
Tom Blenkinsop was elected to the Houses of Parliament in 2010 as MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland. He has been appointed to several committees including Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee from 2010-2012, Standards and Privileges Commons 2010-2011, Treasury Committee Commons 2011 and the Selection Committee Commons 2013.
Education[edit]
Blenkinsop attended St Augustine's RC Primary School in Coulby Newham and Newlands School FCJ, before attending St Mary's Sixth Form College in Saltersgill. He attended Teesside University where he obtained a BSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and the University of Warwick, where he was awarded an MA in Continental philosophy.
