David Michael Gauke was born on 8th October 1971 in Ipswich, England. He is a British Conservative Party politician. He is an MP representing the constituency of South West Hertfordshire. He is also the current Financial Secretary to the Treasury. David Gauke is married and has 3 children.
Education[edit]
Gauke was educated at Northgate High School in Ipswich, Suffolk. He went on to study at St Edmund Hall, Oxford where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law in 1993, and then went on to the College of Law in Chester, where he graduated in legal practice in 1995.
Political Carrer[edit]
Gauke was elected as the Vice-Chairman of the Brent East Conservative Association in 1998. He was elected to the House of Commons at the 2005 general election for Hertfordshire South West. Following his re-election in 2010, he was appointed Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury.
